BUILDING SELF-ESTEEM – A WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS

Self-Esteem has a great bearing on mental health and well-being. Most psychological issues find their origin in low levels of self-esteem.

This workshop aims at helping participant parents increase their awareness of some of their own issues, so as to be more completely available to their children. The session is interactive and draws on participants’ learnings from their own experiences, and helps participants introspect about their own self-esteem and how it was shaped, and then look at ways in which they can positively influence the self-esteem of their children.

The session is being conducted by Maullika Sharma, who is a counsellor with Kumaran’s School and St. Joseph’s Boys High School, and also offers counselling to adults, children, and adolescents, through her practice called Personal Orbit Change.

Time: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm (2 hours)
