MUM-ME 

 A play activity programme aimed at enhancing toddlers’ growth and development. This programme has been specifically designed for parents and their toddlers who are in the 15 to 30 months age group. Both mom and baby will benefit by attending the workshop.

The workshop uses:

• Fun and movement – action songs, nursery rhymes
• Easy-to-do exercises for mom and baby
• Guided play and exploration through age appropriate toys and activities
• ‘Feeling’ and ‘thinking’ experiences to educate the sense of touch
• Language building through storytelling and art

About the Programme: Toddlers will be introduced to a variety of learning concepts and parental involvement will ensure maximum co-operation thereby enhancing learning. Each session will roughly be divided into four parts (20 minutes each).

Part 1 – Speech & Drama: This part aims at building the child’s vocabulary and involves nursery rhymes, action songs etc.

Part 2 – Motor Skill Enhancement Activities: This involves physical development and manual dexterity with gross motor skill enhancement.

Part 3 – Language Enhancement: Introduction to alphabets, colours, shapes and counting. Language development involves art activities, wooden blocks, activity sheets, flash cards and books. Thinking skills are developed through physical activity where the child has to think, imagine and recreate.

Part 4 – Free Play: A free play section for 15 minutes where parents are encouraged to read to their kids, play with the educational toys provided or even take them outdoors. Children learn to play with one another and hence build social skills.

A 15 minutes healthy snacks break will be given after the first 3 parts.
